This module is part of a training course to improve skills for the job of an e-commerce operator.

The module aims to equip learners with knowledge and skills to do business using the rapidly developing information and communication technologies (ICTs).

The learning content is aimed at acquiring real knowledge and practical skills in e-commerce, which will help the students to take up the position of an e-commerce operator.

At the end of the training, learners should know:

  • the essence of e-commerce;
  • the technologies for conducting e-commerce;
  • the main payment instruments used in e-commerce;
  • the main tools of internet marketing;
  • the main threats to e-business;
  • the main ways to promote a website;
  • the European Union policy on e-society and e-commerce;
  • the main business models for e-commerce.

At the end of the training, learners should be able to:

  • use the opportunities of various computer networks and mail servers;
  • apply a variety of Internet search methods;
  • work with electronic payment systems;
  • work in specialized sites;
  • implement systems and applications to improve customer relationship management;
  • be able to promote a website on the global web and social networks;
  • comply with and implement the EU's e-society and e-commerce policy;
  • apply various business models.
